            According to the books Game of Thrones is based on, Telisa and her unborn baby are not supposed to be slaughtered in this scene. In fact, she’s not even supposed to be there at all.

            • Dacey Mormont gets axed in the stomach instead of Talisa.

              Jeyne Westerling, who was Robb's wife in the books, a) survives b) never gets pregnant c) wasn't even at the wedding in the first place.

              They had Talisa get murdered because all the assorted awesome Stark bannermen weren't there to get killed instead.
