I deliberately have chosen this 2009 article for the after-the-fact view by Dick Cheney.
You provide a link to an article where Cheney explicitly indicates the Iraqis had no involvement in 911 as proof positive that the admin made such a claim. I'm puzzled by such a bold debating strategy!

    Kudos!

It wouldn't necessarily be followed up on because people back then had limited resources to use the technology they may have been able to get a hold of.

Hey, that doesn't look like the early 1900s! There should be more mustachios and big dresses, and steam-powered everything! Did you doctor that photograph?

It wasn't governments paying Tesla and other scientists to do stuff, really. It was governments getting smart people to use the technology they had discovered.

Either way, it makes no sense for material X to be available to develop a death ray, but not to develop a far more powerful explosive. The U.S. sank a spectacular amount of money into developing just such a weapon, and you're suggesting somebody stumbled across it by accident and didn't even try to follow up on it?

I presume there was only one [machine/bomb/weapon/whatever] left behind at the time warrior ammo dump. The Ruskies blew it up trying to figure it out.

                        IMHO
I think I agree with some who say that it was a comet or meteorite.
A soft material meteorite vaporizing in the atmosphere could explain as to why so little fragments have been found.
The theory of a huge arctic methane release that had been ignited by static even could explain this explosion.
                        We may never know.

The former vice president said in 2004 that the evidence was "overwhelming" that al Qaeda had a relationship with Hussein's regime in Iraq, and that media reports suggesting that the commission investigating the 9/11 attacks reached a contradictory conclusion were "irresponsible."

"There clearly was a relationship. It's been testified to. The evidence is overwhelming," Cheney said at the time.

I agree that the Tunguska thing is strange. Think about it, evidence we have from movies etc. indicates that space aliens will land on North American soil first. So what in hell were they doin' in Czarist Russia's Siberia in 1908???

It is true that space aliens, whether rampaging or peaceful nearly always land in Los Angeles or New York. In fact there is a huge battle with savage aliens coming up in Los Angeles next month. Aliens rarely land elsewhere alyhough there was a giant alien spaceship hovering over Johannesburg for many months.

It would, based on the movies be highly unusual for aliens to land in Siberia which I think exposes the whole Tunguska thing as a hoax.

Unfortunately there are ***** who are too stupid to understand that Hollywood movie are completely true.

                                How does

The former vice president said in 2004 that the evidence was "overwhelming" that al Qaeda had a relationship with Hussein's regime in Iraq, and that media reports suggesting that the commission investigating the 9/11 attacks reached a contradictory conclusion were "irresponsible."

"There clearly was a relationship. It's been testified to. The evidence is overwhelming," Cheney said at the time.

square itself against the original claim?

Well, there's the other lie that Hussein was involved in 9/11. Can't forget that.
                                Answer is,

                                "It doesn't."

Relationship doesn't equate to involvement in 911. Had there been actual operational or material support for 911 it would have been stated as such.
