It's just muckraking over a low level guy misspeaking.

A typical 10 News headline is something "CARNAGE IN THE STREETS!" and then later at the very end they admit it was just a routine traffic accident where no one died and someone was slightly injured because the dumb ass wasn't wearing a seat belt. That's 10 News; anything to get people to tune in. Think of the movie "Anchorman" but with more shocking & fabricated headlines and you have 10 News (though technically that movie was about 8 News in the late 70's).

Doc, there are meta-studies (heh) suggesting that the vast majority of preliminary research papers published in scientific journals are false. You simply cannot believe everything you hear or see. You can speculate all you want, but the only way to really know if something is true or real is to rigorously study it over and over until it becomes as clear as day. Stuff that "rings true" or comes from a "reliable friend" or what have you just doesn't necessarily have any relation to reality.

Well, I would not go so far as to say gullible.
Maybe "open mind" is the wrong term?
Yes, I'm not as educated as some here and ( I admit ) not as intelligent.
That is not a true reason to dislike me or what I post.
I post to make conversation.
If I believe in what I post I will state it.
I'm not trying to be nasty, but I don't understand why people get so upset as to what I post.
They act like this is there own personal domain and want exclusion to everyone else.
If they are not interested in what I post then why even leave a comment?
If a comment is made it is harsh or belittling.
If a person does not believe that is there choice.
I'm not trying to make anybody believe or convert, just want to have an intelligent conversation.

Especially on the net.
Just trying to make conversation.
When I post something rarely does anybody ask me what I think.
They are so fast to make judgment without even asking me.
