Overall, I wasn't impressed by this years crop of ads. I thought all the Doritos ads sucked, yet two of them scored in the top 4. E-trade probably had their worst year ever... with none of the spots even bringing a smile. I did like the Darth Vader spot, but it wasn't really outstanding.

Bud Lite and Budweiser had an off year in my opinion, even though the Dog Sitter spot tied for the lead in this methodology.

My Top Five in no particular order.

Volkswagen - "Darth Vader" starts 2012 Passat
Pepsi Max - Reading thoughts on first date
Bridgestone - Beaver pays back good deed at bridge washout
Audi - Escape from "old luxury" prison
Snickers (Mars) Richard Lewis, Roseanne Barr whine while logging (But, it was only funny once... after that...)

Overall, I wonder why many of the advertisers bothered to spend the money with some of the crap they put on the air.

What were you favorite or most hated ads.
    Keep on Civin'
RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

Without having seen any of them i'd say "Stella Artois Women in tears as Adrien Brody loves only Stella" as Stella Artois is sure to give you diarhea.

My favorite was the promo for HOUSE. Great takeoff on the famous Pepsi commercial.

Why none of the ads were spectacular this year, overall I was amused. (I'm not saying the commercial were great, just that I was amused.)

I did really like the CHEVY/Lassie spot.

And as weird as the Stella Artois ad was, at least I knew what it was a commercial for. The product was displayed many times.

And the COKE border guard one was like a SNL live script. Good concept but it played out too long.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I liked the Bud Light Product Placement in Movie ad as I like pointing out little details like that when I (re)watch movies.

I also like the Bud Light Kitchen Remodle because my wife is really into those redesign shows.

Says something when the ads are more interesting than the sport itself.

The Bridgestone Beaver was great. As was the House one playing off the Mean Joe Greene ad. I also liked the Doritos bringing things back to life and the finger licking one. The Telefora one "you have a nice rack" one was great as well.

As for the serious ads, I really liked the Motorola Xoom playing off the old 1984 Apple ad and the Chyrsler 200 "Imported from Detroit".

Oh, and the Groupon ones were hilarious!

They were pretty disappointing taking as a whole. The only one that was decent was the one with House. That was the last year I will watch the commercials. What a waste of time.

I could list at least 100 things that would be more entertaining than watching hour after hour of commercials.

Overall, a pretty mediocre crop this year.

Very weird to see Eminem doing a car ad. His reformation from misogynist punk rapper to mainstream sellout is complete. I now expect to see him win multiple Grammies next week, outside the hip-hop categories.

Well it's a bit different from mainstream sellout... the ad was basically a "Detroit's Back" ad and Emimen is very proud of being from the Motor City.
