The Dead Kennedys sound like a bunch of whiny losers with poor sales.

How's that? If Billy Yank has never had occasion to even hear of Gervais' existence but has Carell's overhyped tripe shoved down his throat day in and day out, whereas Jack Limey is routinely made well aware of both, is there not information asymmetry with regard to their respective choices of whether or not to consume Gervais' work product?

Disclaimer: I have absolutely no ****ing idea what that term of art means and don't care to. I just thought it sounded nifty.

So here is the problem comparing movie grosses. If you compare multi award winning -

                  Meryl Streep

                  US Gross - $1,751,565,220
                  Worldwide Gross - $3,524,114,177

over her 30+ year career to Harry Potter side kick

                  Rupert Grint

                  US Gross - $2,003,581,998
                  Worldwide Gross - $6,356,237,878

in his 10 year career. Grint made 2 non-Potter movies with total worldwide gross of less than $400,000.
There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.

                    are you coming onto him?

anyway. you cant use gross to determine who the best actor is that will only show you how good movies his been in. you have to get the actors wages. that is if you buy into that crap.

That's the first smart thing you've said in this thread.

And yes, I agree that lifetime earnings is a better metric.

Also: the only person to make Piers Morgan Tonight watchable? Ricky Gervais. Interesting how he's so confident that everyone had such a good sense of humor and took it well, including even RDJ who was clearly "joking." If so, RDJ's just about deadpan enough to make Steven Wright look like Dennis Miller.
