I'm still not sure who won the Gervais-Downey Jr. exchange. Gervais' crack about RDJ's past drug troubles was both overly mean and (even worse) lazy, but RDJ's hurt, judgmental response wasn't really appropriate for someone who seems so generally unflappable and went on to proposition all five best actress nominees. I think Downey Jr. probably will triumph in the court of public opinion, as he's a national treasure and everyone loves him, but there was no need for the decision to be this close.Comment

I wouldn't be too sure that Mr. Reeves has outgrossed Sir Anthony Hopkins.
