    • I suppose he'd argue that his self-delusion that he's making good points is valuable to him.

How is knowledge of future activity the same as controlling the future activity?

Besides, no one (except God) really knows exactly what happens after death. According to the Bible, there is a new Earth and bodily resurrection of the dead, but as for the specifics, we are guessing. This is why there is different theories (Universalism, Annihilationism, being able to accept God's love after death, etc.).

Holy Zombie Jesus, I do not know why this is so hard a concept for people to grasp:

If you are all-knowing that means EVERYTHING is predetermined, if not by you then by some other power. So "Free Will" is a crock. And God is willfully allowing people to burn in hell for the decisions they made "of their own free will".

        Unless of course....

God(Capital G) is not all-knowing(or all-powerful), then that means he is certainly not the sole way to everlasting bliss, despite the claims made in the Abraham Religions. Certainly the information he has been dispensing has been grossly misleading and outright lies to his capabilities. Yahweh becomes a god, or (more likely) doesn't exist at all.

If only you didn't have that darn free will. Then maybe there would be no need for God to send you a messenger.
Thanks for making my point for me. The ONLY REASON why I care that other people think God exists is because in the United States they are (pretty much) the only group of individuals that go out of their way to try to enforce their worldview on others or harass unbelievers even when they are not actively trying to subordinate the state to their whim. I frickin' SAID they have a mentality "well the only reason why they don't believe in God is because they haven't heard the story of JAYSIS" and here you are, walking in like a Jack Chick tract.

Either you seriously think that I have never came across organized religion growing up in a military family, with Texan relatives, being in the military, and working mostly with military after I got out(the US Military by and large being conservative, and conservatives by and large being religious)...in which case you just MIGHT be the dumbest mother****er ever to walk the face of the planet...

...or you are actively advocating harassing, in person, folks who do not believe in your particular invisible pink unicorn.

        Which is it?
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Sure, it can be. But once you are aware that's what you're doing doesn't it defeat the object?
Whow! Hello. So hope is valuable. Great. Glad you agree. Do I need to clear anything up for you? Because, how can you say that hope is good, and say that there is something bad about having it?

Nice social theory, however it's hard to expect people to believe that people having hope/belief in the better system hasn't been good.

So believing in something without any evidence is good as long as you don't believe strongly?

Didn't say that. Just said that it's possible for something to be both bad and good, which you suggested wasn't possible.

You failed to answer my question. Does fulfilling a contract mean you still have to perform it? What is a covenant? Is it not merely another way to say a contract (perhaps a stronger contract, but nonetheless)?

Likewise, why is this so hard a concept for you to grasp? To know doesn't mean you control. How does knowing something will happen negate the free will for people to do what they wish?

I am not a Calvinist (and neither is the majority of Christendom); I don't believe in predestination.

You stupid idiot! Hope is either good or bad. "It's both" is not an answer. I'm not going to waste my time with you. You aren't worth it.

Had atheist groups knocking down your door Kid? Atheist groups demanding that you work on Sundays? Atheist groups demanding that it be taught that the Bible is a passle of lies in Public Schools? Gay rights groups demanding that heterosexual marriages be banned?

POOR KID SOMEONE WAS MEAN TO HIM ON THE INTERNET. IF ONLY SOMEONE KNOCKED ON THE GODLESS INFIDELS DOORS AND CONVINCED THEM TO SEE JAYSIS, THEN NO ONE WOULD BE MEAN TO HIM.
