  • Not expecting much here, but this might help. Reasonable people believe things when there is sufficient evidence. People who believe things when there is insufficient evidence are unreasonable. They believe on faith, ignorance, bias or they are just simply lying.

I'm not assuming everyone has the same evidence.

I think it's a safe assumption that you can go on like this forever.

What does believing something based on insufficient evidence have to do with the evidence that there is?

          • Do I have sufficient evidence to determine that theists are believing in a god without sufficient evidence?

I don't know what you're talking about. You said that they don't have sufficient evidence. I'm not questioning you on why you believe that.

Then you made a comment about the different evidence that people have, which is irrelevent. If there is no sufficient evidence to believe in God, then what does it matter even if they are ignorant of something?

              • Or maybe you're saying that you are ignorant. So then how do you know that there is insufficient evidence to believe in God?

No, I'm saying I do not have sufficient evidence to hold such a belief, so I don't. Others might, I do not have sufficient evidence to determine if they do.

Then you are an atheist but you have insufficient evidence. So then you would agree with me that reason has no value at all when it comes to making this particular decision? And are you ignorant and insist on arguing a point without educating yourself first?

                    • So we've come the full circle and Kid's belief in god is based on blind faith.

There's been no convincing argument presented that you believe on reason. That's just your assertion.

                        • Actually if you bothered to read, you'd have seen that I posted that my belief that the god you believe in doesn't exist was based on blind faith since there's no proof either way.

Blind faith? Did you consider the evidence and determined that it's an uncertainty? And if so then why did you make the leap of faith in the direction that you did?

                            • Of course I did say something like that the likelihood of your god existing was no higher than that of an a creature that shoots monkeys out their ass.
