Ozzy may be a decent guy (I don't know; never met him), but that doesn't change the fact that interest groups like his are destroying America and other democracies around the globe.

Ozzy- is your organisation submitting multiple entries to competitions in order to grab the prizes? The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

Unless they see which one gets the early votes, then act as a group to promote that one.
That's what I'd do, if I wanted to rig a competition. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

Oh, man.
We need to go all out in the next three days to win this contest on FindLaw.com. A week ago we held onto first place by 20 votes, now we've dropped to FOURTH place. First place has 50 votes more than us.
We absolutely need to make this ground up. First only has 210 votes total, WE CAN DO THIS! We got over 2,000 votes for the Chase contest, we can absolutely get 200-300 to win this contest. We absolutely have to.
The single most effective thing you can do is ask people you know individually to vote. Have them vote right then and there while talking to them. Last week, just by talking to people on Facebook, many of whom had no connection to NYRA, I was able to get 20 votes in an hour. If everyone on the forum did the same thing we could easily get into first place and win the $5,000.
Here is a sample script for walking people through voting on AIM or Facebook chat:
You - Hey
Them(estimate) - What's up?
You - Do you have a sec to help me win $5,000 for a good cause?
Them(estimate) - Sure, what do I have to do?
You - Awesome! It is easy, just go and vote here: http://whenlifegetslegal.findlaw.com/entries#93718
You - Click "Vote for This Entry" and then login with Facebook.
You - After you login you'll need to click to vote again, make sure you vote for "Late-night research: Defending youth rights" by Philip Nadel.
Them - Ok, done.
You - Great!! Thank you so much, this means a lot to me, you really helped us out.
That is all there is to it. I used virtually this same script and got 20 votes in an hour. You can do the exact same thing. You really NEED to do it if we have a chance of winning.
The contest ends on December 31, we have to sprint to the finish here. NYRA needs to win this thing, and we need your help. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

If someone really thinks a particular cause is worthy of the vote above all the others, then great. If someone votes without really knowing or caring about what they're voting for (or the alternatives), then not-great.
I voted for the one about the legal rights to film a street view of a government building (non-military) in a city. Or would have done if I didn't have to register and stuff. I noted the way the facebook voting thing gives the site access to various personal details and the right to spam your wall. No thanks.

Not spamming? You've got a ****ing script you're pushing to cold-call votes!
You need a ****ing reality check. Trolling is trying to provoke reactions for a laugh. This, on the other hand, is someone being genuinely irate. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland
