Bugs is out of his element talking about charities in the US. And yet her persists. Dickish.

Also, you can leave any time you want but you never seem to have the motivation or will power.

Why would I want to leave, you twit? I just want to punish Ozzy for acting like a jackass and spamming us trying to get us to buy viagra and get-rich-quick schemes.

Every time I posts one of these things from now on I'm going to vote multiple times for rival participants.

When they're acting like douchebags for a retarded "cause", then no.

Helpful tip. If you promote stuff here as "for a good cause", be sure not to repeatedly duck the question of how much of the proceeds will end up in your own pocket. Unpaid volunteers needn't worry- only the paid workers.

Looks like the NYRA entry finished outside the prizes in 4th place.

"repeatedly duck" You are both an idiot and a liar. You keep getting schooled in how charities work, yet just keep moving onto a new, more ridiculous argument.

As you've pointed out yourself, all our finances are publicly available online. We are one of the most transparent non-profits in the country, so I don't know what kind of conspiracy you think is going on here. Will some of the money go to me? Sure. This may come as a shock to you, but non-profits have staff. Those staff need to pay rent and put food on the table. It may blow your mind, but when you give money to the Red Cross they use some of it to pay their staff. When you give money to a homeless shelter, they use some of it to pay their staff too. The AARP, NRA, ACLU, and any other organization out there exists only because of their staff. And those staff have living expenses. Why is this so shocking to you?

And yes, we finished in 4th. We have some pretty good evidence the other groups were cheating, so we'll see what happens once the contest starts reviewing the votes. Thanks to everyone who helped out by voting!! For those of you who didn't vote, no worries. For those of you who voted against us out of spite, **** you.

How did the other groups allegedly cheat?

Did it involve spamming websites to drum up votes?

Seeing as Ozzy drew the comparison between the NYRA and the ACLU, here's the ACLU accounts.

"Management and General" expenses accounting for 7.9% of expenses.

AARP doesn't do as well- http://assets.aarp.org/www.aarp.org_...s_12_31_09.pdf

Looks like "Management and General" expenses match up to 12.6% of total operating revenues.

Those are substantially larger organizations. If NYRA were pulling in over 90 million annually, it would probably have proportions more like the ACLU. Also groups like NYRA are designed to achieve changes through the political system. NYRA isn't collecting blankets for the homeless, its trying to expand the definition of civil rights. That means that it's going to spend a higher proportion on staff than traditional charities.

It's strange that you bring up AARP. Most members join it for the benefits rather than for the political issues at stake. With all the discounts on things like travel and health products, AARP is basically like AAA for old people.

Typical. You make lots and lots of false claims. I demolish them and then you just move on to make other claims. All the while distorting the truth and not recognizing when you are wrong. Isn't this what everyone accuses Ben of? You're no better.

You said that I am somehow hiding how our money is spent when it is all easily available online in more detail than most other organizations out there. You care to recant your baseless accusation?
