The most annoying/offensive use of the term anti-semetic is when people use it to mean "disagrees with a policy of the Israeli govermnent".

    Moronic.

It's like when people disagreeing with one (or many) of Dubya's policies were dubbed "anti-American"! I note no-one calls people who disagree with Obama "anti-American".

Not only is it inaccurate in both cases, but it's a lazy way to avoid having to defend your views with some real facts.

That's because racist Jews like you don't want to be reminded that they have the same ancestral origins as the Palestinians - it's a bit more difficult to think of someone as a sub-human goat-****er when you're basically the same as them...

I also notice that you never actually apologised for your 'goat-****ing' remark.
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Rather the contrary: If you are pro-Arab, you are practically by definition anti-semite

The shocking thing is that many Americans think people are really taken aback by such an 'insult'.

You're confusing two issues. Please re-read my post.
No one doubts the fire was an act of honest mistake.

We're talking about a different issue. During the 4 days of the fire, in several other places, people tried to set fire to forests, while the police and firemen were all busy in Haifa.

Some arson locations were close to the original fire (trying to spread it), and some were in other parts of Israel. There is solid evidence of arson, including burning materials found on scene, but no suspects in most cases.

In a single case two people were arrested after a helicopter camera caught them lighting several bushes and a police chase ensued. However they got rid of incriminating evidence, and the helicopter footage was too inconclusive for court.

The military aid has to be used with American companies, so it's practically subsidizing US defense companies.
As far as joint projects go, we're like a small, effective and cheap (by pentagon standards) R&D project.
So relocating Israelis to the US to save a couple of billions, isn't really worth it.

One can disagree with the Israeli policy for a variety of reasons, and anti-semitism is certainly one of them.
I agree that people get blamed too often unjustly. That doesn't mean that it's always unjust.

First, sometimes people hold view that discriminate against Jews, without thinking of them selves as anti-semites. Consider, for instance, if someone denies the right of a Jewish state to exist, while supporting the exact same thing for the Palestinians. It's effectively biased against Jewish people. No reason why Jews differ from Palesitnians or even Greeks or Slovakians for that matter. And yet many people hold that view, without thinking that they discriminate against a people.

(Certainly, people who don't believe in the validity nation states are exempt from discriminating.)

Second, it's often misapplied when a better accusation would be bigotry or unfairness.

Consider that Israelis often feel there's an exceptionally low threshold for things that Israel gets criticized about, compared to any other state. Nato and US troops have been far more careless about human losses than the IDF in Gaza. The palestinians get pass on a lot of **** they do to provoke, and then Israel gets criticized even for things it didn't do.

Even more annoying, is that you see far less media frenzy, public discourse, UN hearings and and UNSC decisions, even against obvious human rights violators such as Sudan and such.

Many (wrongly) believe anti-semitism has to do with it. It think it has more to do with political realities, and attributes of media coverage.

You don't think anti-semitism is the reason that the UN generates so much hysteria over Israel but not over Sudan? I can't think of any other reasons...
