I don't have any affinity for Palestinians. At least no anymore than I have for Israelis, the French, the British, or other people not smart enough to live in Canada.

Dozens of blazes were reported across Israel Friday, on top of the massive forest fire still raging in northern Israel, as the police raised its alert level nationwide.

Police officials suspect that many of the latest blazes were set by arsonists.

Police sources estimated that the culprits are taking advantage of the situation in the north and are attempting to distract forces dealing with the massive fire by producing additional emergency events.

Since the main fire started, at least a dozen smaller fires were picked up, all next to Arab villages in Israel's north, the majority of which have nothing to do with the Carmel mt. fire. In several cases people were arrested while fleeing from the area, having 'suspicious' equipment.

I can't say for sure those arrested are indeed the arsonists, but it's painfully clear most of the secondary fires were indeed started by arsonists, most likely Israeli Arabs.

That is just stupid because
a) you're just burning wildlife, not evil jews!
b) once you start the fire, you can't control it! It's as likely to burn your own stupid village. An Arab town was already evacuated due to the fire.

The original fire seems increasingly likely to have just been a tragic accident, which your own article seems to corroborate. Whereas you have no proof whatsoever that the other fires have been started by Palestinians, but have just jumped to knee-jerk racism instead! Most of those arson attacks have been outside Palestinian villages - that seems pretty dumb to me if it was a Palestinian arsonist because, as you say, they risk burning down their own village!

Surely a more logical explanation is that these fires were more likely started by Jews in revenge for the targeted and deliberately set terrorist fire, specifically aimed at killing 40+ prison guards and a police chief...

Maybe instead of being a racist douche and blaming the Palestinians, you should blame your uselessly inadequate fire services and the fact that you had to crawl to the Palestinian fire services and all the other fire services from around the world to help put out the fire!?

Besides, it wasn't the Palestinians - it was God that started the fire - so get your facts straight!

Late Monday, Israeli police said they had identified the "prime suspect" in the blaze - a 14-year-old boy arrested earlier in the day.

Yes, I've seen HC throw around that anti-semite stuff but I have never seen you, Mobius, myself, or any other supposed anti-semite say anything derogatory against Jews or the Jewish people. Maybe some comparisons to the Holocaust were in bad taste but these statements underlie the hypocrisy of the Israeli treatment of the Palestinians.
