I've come to the conclusion as I look at demographic changes that the current trends are unsustainable. Those of lesser IQ and capability are reproducing far more than those of greater intelligence and capability. Those who are capable are subsidizing and supporting those who aren't through socialism and welfare. This is not a sustainable model for human organization. We are already beginning to see the start of what will mark the crumbling of the system as those feeding off the system out number those supporting it. As the number of intelligent humans begins becomes increasingly outnumbered by the less intelligent humans on the planet, the system will inevitably collapse.
Furthermore, we are already beginning to see signs that we are approaching the breaking point of human population on the planet. Fights over water rights are just the very tip of what will eventually become full scale wars over resources. The endless immigration to the US is going to cause our population to skyrocket, accelerating the breaking point for the US specifically. Furthermore, these immigrants tend to have larger families and are of less intelligence and capability than the general US population. As stated before, this is not a sustainable system.
Therefore, it is inevitable that as the US comes closer to its breaking point, and the world at large, drastic measures will have to be implemented in order to control population and preserve the more useful portions of humanity while preventing those of lower intelligence from breeding. We will have no choice but to enforce and implement artificial evolution as humanity no longer exhibits natural evolution. Welfare and socialism has enabled those who would ultimately fail to reproduce to flourish. In order to prevent the collapse of civilization and the end of human advancement, governments will have no choice but to begin population control. Furthermore, if they are to maintain competitiveness and to maximize their populations, they will have to do so based on intelligence and capability. Whether this be through gene benchmarks or IQ standards, something will have to be implemented to distinguish the haves from the have nots.
How long until we reach our breaking point? How will the inevitable implementation of population controls come to be? What will a post population controlled world look?
