High IQ people have a higher cost of raising their children (regardless of the child's IQ) than low IQ people. Some of this isn't even because high IQ people tend to invest more, for starters affirmative action in college admissions is a big burden on poor reasonably intelligent whites and even on middle class Asians.

They'll blame it on pollutants, on big business, on corporations hell bent on creating an army of eunuchs. Do you want to be a eunuch? Maybe you already are one and don't even know it? I'm amazed that you are attacking me when I'm only trying to help you realize the threat in your midst. I'll refrain from telling you, "I told you so" when you attempt to procreate and realize you're a victim of the vast left wing conspiracy. Maybe if you never had a chance to begin with to procreate then it's not a big deal, which is why I can understand Al's obvious lack of concern. What about the rest of you though? Would the world really be better off without your offspring? I urge you to stop this vast left wing conspiracy before you become a eunuch.
This comes of as slightly paranoid.

I however would agree at least some people in power are well aware of the sedative effects of current diets and exposure to certain commonly used agents and are even perhaps actively encouraging it, this is probably especially true for medicating and criminalizing normal male behaviour in childhood and later while letting equally socially damaging female behaviour slide.

I don't think this collapse of the West and major setback of humanities common project is a leftist conspiracy, I think its a tragedy of the commons exacerbated by hostile deluded agents and opportunistic elites.

What paranoia? There clearly are agents of the United Soviet Socialist Republic of America on these boards. You just haven't realized it yet hera. Be happy you live in a freer society than the US where you can get away with your naive and innocent posting. I, on the other hand, have to be very careful not to cross the line to the extent that I raise enough red flags in the system that they come and get me. Socialism is everywhere, they could even be your neighbors. I have here in my hand a list of two hundred and five people that were known to the OT as being members of the Communist Party and who nevertheless are still working and shaping the policy of Apolyton. Do you honestly believe they aren't a threat to you?

I think true believer Egalitarians are mostly a grave threat not just to others but to themselves, they are building a world where it will be impossible for a human being to live with dignity, and as much as they delude themselves that includes them or their descendants too.

Jews are usually grouped as White.

It is around 1000, you have to consider the size of the various demographics in 1995. For example the average numbers for 2005 are:

                • American Indian---482/480 (962)
                • Asian American-----575/508 (1083)
                • African American-----426/431 (857)
                • Puerto Rican----457/448 (905)

                Other Hispanic----464/457 (921)

                • White-----534/529 (1063)
                • Other ----513/501 (1014)

Don't worry the SAT may not slide down with changing demographics but US ranking in international comparisons will.

I think maybe he's referring to the fact that higher IQ people are more likely to engage in things like medical care for their children, hobbies, education, etc.

Well, yes, that is in fact true. Furthermore, you decrease the value of degrees by allowing people to get them that shouldn't. Then again though, I think everyone pretty much knows at this point that degrees are worthless pieces of paper unless it's a hard science that not even affirmative action can get you through.

I'm pretty sure IQ correlates with income, so generally smart people should have more money to spend on their kids. I don't see how having kids is less affordable for intelligent people on average.

This is another structural cost of being smart, with degree inflation you need to spend more and more years in education siphoning away more years of reproduction from all but the least intelligent, but hitting the most intelligent the hardest since they are likely to aim higher because of lower time preferences.

I can see how it could be, in terms of time and the pursuit of career etc. Not so much in terms of raw dollars.

Bets are off if you start talking about illegitimate children of the rich and powerful men in this world. There must be armies of such kids.
