He did not 'take it away' but fulfilled them completely. Making him being the only one to ever live up to it.
Despite that he did so, he wanted to take the doom of the thora, and died.
That made a new way to become righteous, not by living up to the thora / the perfect live, but by having faith that Jesus already did in our place.

Christianity is not about living up to moral standards to achieve a goal.

Very reminiscent of a great scene from The West Wing.

So then you and I agree then, that Christian fundies are ****ed up in their use of the Bible.

Yeah, I know what scene you're talking about. If I knew which episode that is in, I wonder if it's somewhere on YouTube?

This completely is a big statement. So first, what are all the things in the old testament that needs to be fulfilled by whatever. Then, how could all the things be fulfilled. Once we have that we can check the new testament and check when, where, and how Jesus fulfilled them. My prediction is if we made in advance clear what we expect, we will find no instance when Jesus fulfilled anything.

So far I see a guy that was talking some nonsense. Some people did not like this nonsense, because it contradicted their nonsense, they were talking. And so nailed that guy to a stick or whatever.

I am sorry, but so far I cannot distinguish it from nonsense.

I guess, Mr Ratzinger and his pedo-cult agree. In fact, I don't care so much what Christianity is about, we are living in a secular world. So I expect that all people here live to our moral standards and not to some Christian standards, as we have seen them in the opening post. And not to Catholic standards like covering Pedophiles.

I'm pretty sure they don't usually make footballs out of pig bladders anymore. Pretty sure it's been rubber for decades now.

And whatever you Christians say, MrFun's point still stands for the Jews. Well, not about Hell but about absurd biblical laws.

Haw Haw, Mr Fun is wrong on both! Christians are saved by grace, not by the law and Jews don't have a Hell (at least not an eternal torment Hell - the closest thing is a Purgatory like gehenna).
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Imran, I said not about Hell but about absurd biblical laws.

                          You know, stuff like this:
"Neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee." -- Leviticus 19:19
Or how about the stuff that you get the death penalty for like:
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. -Exodus 31:14
And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death. -Leviticus 24:16
But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

21Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you. -Deuteronomy 22:20-21

It's pretty amazing that a lot of people in the 21st century think those laws were of divine origin.

                              No kidding.

                              Two observations MrFun:
                              1. There's a reason they call it a political spectrum
                              2. Small government vs. large government is purely a debate over to what extent government imposes viewpoints, and what kinds of viewpoints it should impose. Why don't you try to imagine a government that doesn't force anyone to do anything that they don't want to do.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
                              ){ :|:& };:

So toward the ideal of a non-interfering government, we should repeal the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments because those amendments forced other people to do things they did not want to do (give up their slaves, enfranchise blacks to vote, desegregate facilities, etc . . . .)
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
