All he's doing is claiming that Krazyhorse's opinions are based on limited personal experience and an abstract model that doesn't fully account for all relevant factors. Disagree if you want but I don't see why you're getting so upset.

Alby's evidently lived in a ****ty area of town, but we don't think his economics are worth two cents. The claim that "your economics are wrong you don't live in crapville" is a dodge. I don't think any of the concepts KH has pointed out are very complex or controversial. If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

What you said was entirely rhetorical and I called you out on it. Make a real argument or don't complain when people point out your fallacies. In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.

I could be wrong since KH might have taken a lot of Econ courses as an undergrad or something but technically, I'm more 'lettered' in Econ than he is."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

The view of workers as being on the wrong side of the dictator game with employers is laughable.
a) Employees are often not on the 'wrong side of the dictator game' with a particular boss, but they often are with the entrepreneurial class in general.
b) Why are lower working hours in France the result of massive social implication throughout the 20th century? You think family fathers struggling to pay rent go on strike for the hell of it? That they wouldn't negociate first? In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.

HC, i'm laughing at you for being so dense, not getting upset
why don't you try this. go back and read the posts before mine, then reread my post, then engage your brain. then you might be able to deduce what i was getting at. gribbler more or less managed it, it's really not that hard."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

well i suppose KH's bumhole isn't as spotless as it once was since drake changed character. but i worry that HC is a little too young to be getting involved in that sort of thing..."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

To the twits whose entire argument appears to be "life is not a model", congratulations on discovering this amazing truth. All models are wrong. Some models are useful. The model "classical economics is wrong" is particularly useless. I am aware of no strong empirical evidence demonstrating that workers in general suffer some large information asymmetry or transaction cost which would lead to them systematically working more hours than socially optimal. From my experience in dealing with the involved posters I believe I have a significant advantage in knowledge of the relevant empirical work, but I'm willing to grant that I may be pleasantly surprised. Feel free to be the one to do so...12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET
