As I've said repeatedly, I'm not totally for SD. I don't like aspects of them, especially their brown past. Just as I don't like a lot of the Progress Party in Norway(which is related to SD in some ways, but in the end far more of a responsible and coherent party than what I suspect SD is from what I read). But both parties dare to question the status quo and the policies of the past few decades, and that is what I applaud them for. I would never vote for the Progress Party in Norway, and I highly doubt I would have voted SD if I were a Swede. But it doesn't matter to my argument. SD fills an important role as a spearhead for new thinking. In Norway this role has been filled by FrP(Progress Party), and as they have got more and more support, the other parties slowly has been forced to re-evaluate their policies in light of FrP's success. This is what I hope SD will do too. Because Sweden needs it badly.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

Update about the poor bastard SD local politician who had a swastika carved in his face a week ago: A doctor at the forensics department thinks he did it to himself on account of the angle of the cut and the shallowness of the wound. He has judged the probability for the wounds being self-inflicted as "9 on a 10-point scale". Police say they have not found anything to go on so far but the investigation is "still going on".
The timing is excellent, of course, with election day tomorrow but what a remarkably stupid thing to have done, if the doctor turns out to be correct. It literally doesn't seem like something a sane person would do in any circumstance.

Yeah, heard about it in local news too. If he really have done it, he's pretty stupid. What if he has and are elected ? Can he then be thrown out or does he just get a slap on the hand for false accusations ?
I'm a bit puzzled about the good doc's accusations - the shallowness part I can partially understand, but the angle doesn't make much sense. What angle makes it more likely that he has done it than some attacker ?
Has anyone checked the doc's party membership or political viewpoints ? As you say, it's very well timedWith or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

This is really funny :
Få et nyhedsoverblik på forsiden af politiken.dk, som både giver dig de seneste nyheder og dybdegående fortællinger.
I øvrigt ville det heller ikke have været muligt at vise videoen i dansk tv, for al politisk reklame er forbudt i Danmark.
This is really cute :
skyldes måske netop, at så mange indvandrere lever iblandt os, og at vi møder dem i bageriet, blomsterbutikken, tobakskiosken eller møntvaskeriet. With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

All we have for now is a preliminary result and it's a bit of a clusterfu/ck. The real result (including abroad voters and late postal votes) won't be in until Wednesday. There's a tiny chance that it might matter since the vote was very close.
Basically the Alliance parties appear to have gone +1.2% and the RGs -2.7%, yet the Alliance loses the majority in parliament thanks to SD getting in.
Everybody loves maps so here is a map too:

and hade he mentioned the others you would have called him an elitist who dont know how the common man have it.
i dont understand why you would post such a low profile kolumn(didnt get much attention in sweden anyway), only to do useless nitpicks.
