Not in the City this weekend, but my recommendations for bars in the Midtown area, at least, if people want good beer to drink. In Ascending order of prices:
Pony Bar, 45th St. and 10th Ave.
Serves only American craft brews. All beers are $5 but you get less than a pint for the high ABV ones. Decent food from what I heard from the guy I was speaking with at the bar.
Rattle'N Hum, 33rd Between 5th and Madison Aves.
Good beer selection, feels more like a sports bar than the others. Food is okay.
Ginger Man, 36th St. between 5th and Madison Aves.
Biggest tap selection in NYC - the bar tenders know their stuff. Also has the most space, though at nights it gets horribly crowded. Sunday afternoons good time to go, not crowded at all. Food is good.If you don't like reality, change it! me
