    Roommates normally means flatmates.

What you describe is called cellmates.

Bloody hell, a two month long polymeet is a bit ambitious, isn't it?
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

I've got to admit, I totally agree with AS on one point: he doesn't understand women.

How does "flat" make any more sense? What a bizarre country you have.

With Kuciwalker too Suicide would definitely be preferable.

Flatness is everything. Just ask Thomas Friedman.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

A self-contained living space occupying a single storey or part of a single storey. Not exactly two-dimensional, but flatter than a house.

I suppose apartment-mate is a bit unwieldy, but no excuse for the errant nonsense that is 'room-mate'.

And you spell it storey, too.

and you have to use extra letters for color and armor. makes no sense.

Colour and armour are from the French. Like apartment.

                                Arsehole also has extra letters.
