Al, the M4A1 has the standard mount at the front so you could mount a bayonet though honestly it would be retarded as hell since the main point of the M4 is to have a stub nosed rifle which is better for urban combat. My experience was that as of 2004 only the infantry had M4's and everyone else had M16's unless they were one of the crew served weapon guys.

You know, there was a guy who was in my platoon... Prior enlisted Sergeant... Scout Sniper... Force Recon... multiple tours... he got sent home with stress fractures!

It might be pussies getting stress fractures in the Army, but Marine OCS aint no ****ing joke.

We do almost all the PT in boots and utes... because of the snow, we had to do sprints and suicides in boots on concrete or at a basketball court every day for part of the PT.

Two days before my injury was diagnosed... we did a 6 mile hump over snowy terrain in the morning, ran through a frozen combat course in full load, then because of some idiots who didn't pack all the required gear for the hump, they were going to have us do the 6 miles again that night. When the Corpsmen couldn't be gotten, they instead played **** **** games and we had to run around holding our ILBE packs out in front of us til exhaustion

The next day for PT, we did fireman's carries for 20 minutes back and forth running across the field carrying a buddy; plus, ammo can carries, where you sprint back and forth with a 30lb ammo can in each hand.



After that, every heel-strike when we'd march, would cause pain to shoot up my legs.
