LGA has 0 direct flights to LHROriginally posted by Drake Tungsten View PostThe Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria is worth a trip if you have a group of people to drink with. JFK, on the other hand, is god awful and why you should fly out of LaGuardia (or possibly Newark, for you) as often as humanly possible.
The Bronx has Yankee Stadium and nothing else. To be fair, the zoo is supposed to be excellent, but that's not really a reason to visit unless you have kids.
I went to Staten Island just to say I'd been there. Literally just walked around the ferry terminal and then went back to Manhattan. To their credit, however, their 9/11 memorial is actually finished and quite affecting, in a low-key way.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

Also, the Admiral's Club is quite nice, and my taxi to and from is comped, so no real problems with JFK...12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

THEY AREN'T FROM NEW YORK!Originally posted by Kuciwalker View PostNext thing you know AS is going to be claiming people who live in Jersey City aren't from New York
I know it doesn't mean much but he's the only famous Jersey City resident I know... Joe Budden is form Jersey City and he doesn't claim NYC. He claims Jersey City.
And
at KH... I have heard tell of the boroughs besides Manhatten but I would never dare step into those lands filled with pathetic peasants.

LGA is the worst airport I've ever been to. Every flight I've had departing from LGA was either hours late or cancelled altogether. And the airport is far too small for the volume, it's grossly overcrowded.Originally posted by Drake Tungsten View PostThe Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria is worth a trip if you have a group of people to drink with. It is indeed terrible, but JFK is worse unless you have a comped taxi.

That's pretty much universal for NYC airports.KH FOR OWNER!

I've never not had a comped Taxi, so I prefer Newark or JFK every time to LGA.Originally posted by Drake Tungsten View PostIt is indeed terrible, but JFK is worse unless you have a comped taxi.
Had no issues in Newark or JFK (only went to JFK twice, though). It's my understanding LGA has far more delays than the others due to its position, something to do with winds. That's pretty much a universal thing for NYC airports."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. LGA's only redeeming feature for me is it's where I got to meet Romeo Dallaire when we shared the same cancelled Air Canada flight to Toronto."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
