A friend of mine once had somebody from Johannesburg ask him "you live in Baltimore? Isn't that dangerous?"

There are 65 National Historical Landmarks in Philadelphia. Baltimore has 25.

I don't know what the Wire is, but ministers in charge of fighting crime from many countries around the world cherry pick crime stats from places like Detroit or Baltimore to say: Stop complaining about crime people, look, this country is safer than the USA!!I need a foot massage

And KH wants to claim it is better than Philly in any wayPhilly was only the murder capital of the US that one year. Baltimore is up there quite often trading places with Detroit and DC.

If you actually lived in DC, you would know better. Fairfax County Boy"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

No.
Well, in food service it is. When you get a comped meal I guess it's complimentary.
But complimentary really doesn't fit when, in these cases, it's usually an employee paying then getting reimbursed (or paying on a corporate card)."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Gliwice: I'm not sure. The only monument of a remarkable value is this: the place where ww2 started, and allegedly the highest wooden construction in the world still in existance. I can see it from my window. I used to think it's Eiffel Tower when I was a child.
but for me, as a child, this was a favourite:
a Neptune fountain.
Nowdays - I really don't know.
Warsaw - either the castle of Warsaw
or this carmelite church, which I used to think is the nicest thing in Warsaw.
I also like Lazienki palace/park and Krasinski palace very much.
Damascus - an obvious choice would be the Grand Mosque, but it wouldn't really be true. I can't really say.
Paris - I really like the Invalides, but my favourite place is Luxembourg park. Perhaps because my mother used to sit there and, being lonely, I decided to sit there as well. A thought that she used to sit there often made this place more at home for me than the rest of Paris."I realise I hold the key to freedom,
