knowing people that were addicted to weight training like that, first hand , were people that used some sort of (legal or illegal) chemical enhancers and they described every workout as a "rush" or a "stress reliever" but i saw it as an escape mechanism similar to alcohol or other drugs.

Those people were also extremely depressed and by now, years later, are total burnouts with their minds unable to cope with even the simplest of situations without a surge of irrational emotion.

I'm not addicted to weight training. It's preparation for my job.

        How ironic.

Better a steroid junkie who at least can kick someone's ass than a scrawny pothead or heroine junkie. Am I right?

Well, heroine junkies do cost the public more, but that's not what I was talking about.

So now the subject has switched to stalking actresses?

Eat quickly before you have the time to feel full, and eat tasty and varied, that's about the only advice that works.

you seem to be stuck in the mindset that muscles = kicking someones ass.

AAHZ, look at the thread, vato. Do you happen to see the guy doing an Atlas impersonation?

I can say it was a lot easier to ruck at 180+ lbs than it was at 165lbs, a lot easier to run in a fireman's carry, etc. I can only imagine the benefits with regards to that of being 200+ lbs. The only shortfall is running distances when not burdened by gear is harder (though it is easier with gear) and things that favor small guys like the obstacle course are harder.

So anyone have any more ideas on how to increase appetite?

If it wasn't clear... I don't eat sugars unless they come from fruit or dairy. As low carb as possible.

Why bother with all this training and diet? As soon as you actually become a marine you eat the same **** as everyone else, no?

So more reason to become an ideal physical specimen now before the chow hall food and MRE's take their toll

Besides, at some point this will make me more attractive to the wymin... I just don't know when
