Let's just face it. The ONLY way Obama was elected was because of a perfect storm of dissatisfaction with the ongoing wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, COMBINED WITH the economic meltdown. The polls prior to September of 2008, remember, were favorable to McCain-Palin.

Cap and trade is another item. And for that matter, the overall stimulus package.
Those are three major items on Obama's agenda that the majority of Americans currently oppose.

How can anything supported by ~46% of Americans be out of the mainstream? How do two fifths of independents come to support something radical?
Maybe you're out of touch with the mainstream.

That's funny, because 53%-46% was pretty much the exact margin of the popular vote between Obama and McCain. And yet, that's considered a landslide for Obama.

Additionally, you admit that the most favorable poll you can find for Obama care is only 46% favorable? And by definition 54% unfavorable?Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/DaveDaDouche

That's certainly the most positive way to frame it up. Additionally, 46% favorable is on the HIGH end of the polls I've seen.Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/DaveDaDouche

Also, if Obama-care was so mainstream, why was it so hard for the Democrats to gain a consensus even though they had a super-majority in the Senate and a solid majority in the House? Hell, it was Democrats who almost derailed the whole thing!Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/DaveDaDouche

When asked about Obama's plan (without being given any details about what the legislation includes), 49 percent opposed it and 40 percent were in favor. But after hearing key features of the legislation described, 48 percent supported the plan and 43 percent remained opposed.
Washington Post:
Overall, 46 percent of those polled said they support the changes in the new law; 50 percent oppose them.

Apparently Angle just gave her first non-conservative media interview tonight to respected local (Reno) political journalist and from what little I was able to watch, it seemed to be as much as a train wreck if not worse than Rand Paul's on Rachael Maddow's show. The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
