She did indeed have long blond hair, but was otherwise the sort of woman who was only considered beautiful in the sixties or thereabouts. Small, anorexically skinny, round-faced, no curves. It was kind of scary, actually, like someone had taken a starving Croatian street waif, hosed her down a little and dressed her up in a rainbow dress and gigantic sunglasses.

I'd also like to say right here, in absolute honesty and with no actual offense intended, that Patti Harrison is an absolute ****ing schnauzer of a woman. I mean, she's so ugly she makes a moose's anus look like Heidi Klum and could turn Pat O'Brien off. Now, I realize that Clapton's British, a country that idolized Ginger Spice as a sex object for three years, and therefore has a pretty skewed idea of what a beautiful woman looks like, but Jay-zuz Chee-rist...he could've fallen in love with a rusty toaster oven and it would've made more sense than Patii Harrison. Don't be fooled by the well-selected mid-60's photos you find on the web. Look for a picture from the 70's and you'll find Eric, smiling like Mr. Tongue's first trip to Pussyville, standing next to a rapidly aging chick with a grille that would make a '58 Chrysler jealous, with a space between the incisors that could hold a New York City white pages and still have room left over for a Gideon Bible. I mean, the entire female population of the Western world, and not only does Eric fall in love with his best friend's wife, he falls in love with someone who, had they not been in the right place at the right time, would've been Mrs. Patti Boyd Henson, wife of the sixth most successful plumber in Southampton. I mean, Clap was friends with Mick Jagger, too, and he never got the bell-a-ringin' for sweet, sweet Marianne Faithfull? The guy's nuttier than a Pay Day bar, I tell ya.

Clapton never could sing, which does bring the song down, but at least he shows some genuine passion for once in his life.

I knew a genuine, bad to the bone aspie. he was in his 30s and freaked out when the lights went red. he didnt like red and didnt know how to cope with it.

Asher, you do realize you have no way of knowing how extreme a case I am, right?

Not fully, but I've some idea. Most people who self-identify as aspies are extreme, from my perspective and relative to me.

I don't view it as a syndrome/disorder or anything, I think it's just a way of describing how some people's brains work. Some work more atypically than others, that's all. People who have legitimate coping issues (like Snotty's example) or true autistics could be a syndrome/disorder, though.

No, unless you really like listening to Ginger Baker wank off on the drums. The Dominos were a much better backing band for Clapton than Cream ever was, and the addition of Allman took everything to another level.

Clapton is overrated anyway, even when looking purely at the British Clues Boom. Peter Green was a better guitarist by a clear margin.

In fact the late 60's Fleetwood Mac had two guitarists better than Clapton, because Danny Kirwan was a genius too.
