I Need Ideas for an Android Killer App

Seriously, here's the killer app I want. I know it's technically feasible, but no one will do it, presumably for legal reasons.

The application is to record both ends of my phone conversations, then either play back directly through earphones (with typical transport controls: play, stop, FF, REV) for transcription. Even better would be skip ahead/back in selectable time increments of 3-30 seconds during playback. File transfer to another device, nice but not required. Editing: nice but not required.

There are plenty of recording apps, including multitrack. There are some decent editing apps as well. Even some multitrack and, more recently, even video apps designed to allow reporters to capture, construct and transmit stories.

But nothing lets you capture a damned phone call. I do it, with permission, all the time, but it involves an external digital recorder and a land line.

The horizontal orientation makes the most sense, logically:
1) It allows a more secure mount to the overhead lighting pole, as both ends can be fastened. This means it won't receive as much damage or torque in high-wind situations.
2) It increases vehicle clearance

This is legally dubious.

It's also impossible for the iPhone. It might be possible on Android, but probably not.
