Is the organic food movement the most anti-science social movement out there?

Okay, just did. But I was reacting to the thread title, not the poll title. "Most anti-science" really is pretty hard to measure.

The thread title is less inflammatory, but also more vague. The poll question is a better reflection of my true feelings on the matter.

I don't see creationists as being a social movement in the way that foodies are.

Personally I find the whole organic food movement to be eminently machine-gunnable.

I don't remember if you're the English poster I don't like or not, but you did yourself some good with this post if you are.

True; I guess I should've specified that I was thinking of social movements that aren't openly laughed at in the pages of the New York Times. My bad.
I'd throw the anti-vaccinators in with them as well.

I say just make only "inorganic" food and label some of it as organic and mark up the price. Idiot taxes

I buy things based PURELY on how they taste. I've gotten some good results from organic green onions and garlic mmmmmm... Then again, I'm also hankering to try to the new Double Down one of these days (C'mon! You gotta try it at LEAST once!)

I don't care how it's grown, "organic" produce tastes much better.

As long as you admit that your preference for organic food is based solely on subjective factors like taste, then I'm fine with that.

I could care less about the environmental impact not because I do or don't believe them (I don't know enough to make an informed judgment honestly), but rather because I'm going to use up as many resources as I can in this world because well, I can't take it with me.

On another note, is it just me or has there been a huge population decrease at Apolyton (or just the OT) from a few years ago? What happened?
