I have a BFA in Acting. Conservatory work focusing specifically on scene study and performance. The theater majors also do stuff like scenic design, script analysis, etc.

There are some really really ****ty movies that I love because they have great performances. Like "Shooter" - the movie is absolute ****, but Mark Whalberg is really good, so I liked it.

American Beauty used to be in my top five, but it has dropped down a bit. Spacey, Annette Benning, and Chris Cooper are REALLY good.

And Kate Winslet did Hideously Kinky. Talk about arthouse bull****.

Torn between Young Frankenstein and History, with Blazing a close third. Went with Young Frankenstein.

Spaceballs was funny. Everything after that sucked.

Whoopi Goldberg is an amazing talent. Liza Minelli has a great voice, and is a good actress even though I don't really enjoy her stuff (minus Arrested Development)

Streisand...well, a lot of old people like her, so maybe back in her day there was something there. I just...I don't get her appeal. But I'm not a gay Jew, so...

What's Up, Doc was good. That's all that stands out in my mind.

Mel is funny but he comes no where even close to Python.

Babs and Liza don't count. They both only EGOTted if you count non-competitive awards, which you shouldn't.

Mel is funny but he comes no where even close to Python.

Both Brooks and Python are only funny to old people and nerds.

No no no no no no no!!!! Jesus Deaf-Boy-Molesting Christ!

Brooks' To Be or Not to Be is pedestrian remake of the spectacular Ernst Lubitsch comedy of the same name, starring Jack Benny and made in during WWII. THAT is worth checking out; it is one of the greatest comedies of all time.

My pre-1969 film knowledge is admittedly extremely ****ty. All I've seen is All Quiet, Streetcar, Wonderful Life, Kane, Dorian Gray, a couple Chaplain films, a few others, and bits and pieces of whatever John Wayne movie my dad happened to be watching. Will be rectifying that with some suggestions of where to begin from monolith_94.
