Give me break, people. First, Oerdin claims they were SENTENCED for kissing on the cheek. Second, he claims the only evidence is hearsay. How much more ridiculous BS (which is contradicted in his OP article) can he come up with? Obviously, he is doing this on purpose... noone is that stupid.
Witnesses can see lots of things. I'm surprised you don't think it's plausible.

But look at it from a judge's perspective. Of course it's plausible, but what else are you going to base your judgement on except for witnesses? What, just because a witness is white means they couldn't have seen any black do anything wrong? Yes if they're all wearing white hoods when they're testifying, you might be able to disregard their testimony but it's not always that clear.

How were these neckers sentenced before they have been convicted?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

They were convicted for kissing on the lips and touching, based on the testimony of several witnesses. The case is under appeal.

Several people lied at the same time about a person they do not know. Seriously? Unless these witnesses have a history of working together to indict people, I don't see how you indict them. For all we know, restaurant employees as well as patrons testified.

Sex would be great if you could be thrown in prison for it.

The accused couple said they only kissed on the cheek. That was their defence. That's not what they were accused and convicted of.

By that rationale you could start a thread entitled "Man sentenced to death for being completely innocent!"

You might want to think about that statement for a minute.

Most Brits I have seen are so ugly that they should get 6 months for any public display of affection.

You seem to fail at understanding that most arabs living down their are racists. They will never let an opportunity pass to piss on whitey or blackey for that matter.

Of course not. Outrage is fine. Raise a stink. Good on you.

                          But "atrocity"?? Please.

Agreed. I wonder why people insist on going to places like this.
