That was a terrific game, the US played much better than I thought. Miller's tourney MVP was well-deserved.

It's probably good that Crosby scored the winning goal. Canadians still get to celebrate their victory, but now they have to feel slightly icky about it.

I'm now waiting to see if Ben retracts his comment that Iginla did not deserve to be on this team. He was the hero of the gold medal game in 2002 (Ben also stated he never scored any significant goal internationally for Canada...), he was a hero in this game.
Yeoman's work in the corner, he fought off two American defenders and then FROM HIS KNEES makes a perfect pass to Crosby to surprise Miller. ****ing epic.

Seriously, after seeing 4-on-4 overtime over the past few years, I've been thinking recently that they should just play 4-on-4 all the time. It'll cut down on teams' operating costs as they could drop a handful of players, the game is more exciting, more scoring chances... yeah, it's a pretty radical change, but ****, why not?
I also think they should extend the no-line-change-on-icing rule to all stoppages of play: offsides, goalie freezing the puck, penalties, etc. More scoring chances = win, win, win.

The US played much better against the Fins and Canadians than I thought they would.
This is very good for USA hockey. It likely won't be too long before the US are seen as favorites in these competitions. That'll be good for the sport overall.

I don't hate Crosby. He used to dive a lot and was a bit whiney in his first two years, but not anymore.
Now Alexandre Burrows is the target of Canada's ire.
