I hear the east coast, especially DC, has been hit by a massive snow storm and I'm wondering who besides DanS is snowed in right now.

Yeh, it's pretty insane. I'm guessing about 20" - 22" has fallen already and it's supposed to snow heavily for another 7 or 8 hours.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Yep, snowed in. Not sure how I'm going to get to work on Monday, as our driveway's like an eighth of a mile. We have a Kubota with a bucket, but still, that's a LOT of snow!

Not a flake. The storm is passing south of us.

I'm snowed in, but got nowhere to go, so it's cool.
I saw weird green flashes of light last night. My roommate also saw them. No noise, they came in bursts of two or three flashes every ten or so minutes. Is this some Northern Nonsense, like Aurora Borealis, or did we just have the exact same acid flashback at the exact same time.John Brown did nothing wrong.

"Northern Nonsense"?
AB is one of the most beautiful natural spectacles you will see.
It doesn't sound like your experience was AB (too short and intermittent)."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
