BBC poll: 3 out of 4 Brits think AGW is a crock of ****.

Yet True Believers still routinely characterize skeptics as a fringe minority. How easily a herd mentality skews people's perceptions!

Not surprising (ignoring the wrong number you quote), given that those interviewed have just experienced the coldest winter for about 25 years. Ask them again after a heatwave, and see the response.

edit: Here is the relevant question I'm referring to:

        Notice the 26%.

If only more of the "skeptics" would be real skeptics and not just believers in the opposite. But of course, if three out of four think X about stuff, X has to be right!

You quoted a figure of "3 out of 4 Brits think AGW is a crock of ****". "Not yet proven" does not fall into the "crock of ****" category. The relevant figure you should quote is 35%, not 3 in 4.

The disbelievers of my disbeliefs are my believers, obviously.

Not unlike True Believers trumpeting a "consensus" of "thousands" of scientists ad nauseum, right?

AGW hysterics have been playing the majority card for years, now the roles are reversed and one calls foul. That's funny.

Btw, what's a "real skeptic"? Are some of them just faking it? Do they need to get a doctor's note?

What are you talking about, I did none of this here, so direct your nonsense to someone else. And your stuff doesn't prove anything re the existance or non-existance of a "consensus" of "thousands" of scientists, since it's about the "British people", and not about the intl scientific community.

I don't give a damn what an anonymous mass of "hysterics" may have done or not. If you want scientific questions being decided by popular vote, go ahead and entertain us.

If you feel you need a doctor, don't hesitate to consult one.

Dodge the question and make a personal attack, typical alarmist behavior.

                      • A foremost AGW hysteric is apparently in need of professional medical care.

I thought of killing myself, says climate scandal professor Phil Jones

Peddling those enormous lies must be a heavy burden to carry.

                        • From your link...

He remains at risk, still receiving death threats from around the world including two in the past week: “I was shocked. People said I should go and kill myself. They said that they knew where I lived. They were coming from all over the world.”

Jones has temporarily stood down as director of the climatic research unit at the University of East Anglia. He fiercely defends the unit’s science — “I stand by it 100%” — but now accepts that he did not treat Freedom of Information (FoI) requests for the data as seriously as he should have done. Jones believes that the unit was maliciously targeted with multiple FoI requests by climate change sceptics determined to disrupt its work.

Must not have been too much a burden if he still stands behind it "100%".

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

                              • Yes bold the pitifully transparent attempt to win public favor via pity, really tugs the heartstrings. He thinks the entire human race is destined for gruesome death by climatic cataclysm, but he's scared of a couple crank calls? Please.

Alarmists wet their pants over a couple tenths centigrade, so perhaps not surprising if they're in hysterics over Phil's inconvenient phone calls.
