The company was not good. We were sharing a beach-front condo with my SO's brother and his then-girlfriend. I had a massive personality conflict with her and drama ensued. She was an epic *****, which my SO's boyfriend eventually found out on his own and dumped her.

It was actually a pretty miserable trip overall. She was an attention-whoring drama queen who hijacked the rental car we all shared and left me and the SO stranded in Maui without a car. And there's 4 or 5 taxis total in the whole of the island. 30+ min waits if you needed to get somewhere (like the airport...).

Pretty sure that was the one and only time he has logged in or posted here. He just has no interest.

He'd be more inclined to post at Counterglow just because he's more familiar with a couple of the posters there (JM and Lurker mostly) from playing EVE Online with them. But not here.

Besides, Apolyton already has filled its chemical engineer quota with Japher.

And yes, I know it's easy to mock being miserable in Maui. But it was the third time I'd been to that island and it's not very large, and sun and beaches don't do it for me after a day or so. And I was there for an in-law's wedding.

I actually had to talk my way out of attending a close friend's wedding in Maui in early January. Enough is enough with ****ing Maui weddings, Christ. Do you know how expensive airfare is from Toronto to Maui?

i've not appreciably changed my habits at all. i've always had a quiet confidence, which got me a few ladies i had gone to high school with after i returned to New York from Texas. my quiet 'i told you so' was quite the aphrodisiac.

Note that being picky doesn't help either, if I chased after anything that might give me sex (some of which were pretty girls) I would have been in relationships/had sex by now.

However, I look at whether the girl loves me/is long-term compatible with me, and that is 0 so far.

Well I think you need to be a little less specific in your approach you know. Things may develop you know. Don't expect everything to happen there and then and upfront. That's not how reality works.
