This thread is actually kind of interesting to me.
I think I went to some pretty vanilla schools because it seems like everybody did everything they could do in order to not stand out.
No goths, no D&D nerds wearing cloaks, no punks, no jugallos... there were plenty of preps and jocks though. Maybe it had something to do with the neighborhood itself and all the helicopter parents.
It wasn't until going to college I began to actually see actual living stereotypes like disheveled looking metalheads blasting their music from headphones, a group of D&D nerds always sitting at the same table in the Cafeteria, horrible ICP fans, or any other people who define their lives through narrow marketing mold. Consequently, none of that stuff ever made an impression upon me in my formative years.
I don't know if it's a good thing or not. On one hand, the people I met in college were certainly more interesting than people I knew from high school. On the other hand, it's nice to say that I was never any of those things.Comment

Note that being picky doesn't help either, if I chased after anything that might give me sex (some of which were pretty girls) I would have been in relationships/had sex by now.
However, I look at whether the girl loves me/is long-term compatible with me, and that is 0 so far.
