Many/most of the schools in the top 20 produce 15+

Hopkins is one of the smaller ones at ~12 or so

MIT does ~35 per year all by itself.

Departmental average is 6.5. There are over a hundred graduate students (graduation rate is ~65% at a guess)

There are 32 faculty members. In addition, there are a large number of people at the Space Telescope Science Institute across the street who take on graduate students (these students have an advisor of record in the department itself as an administrative nicety).
