When questioned, Bardwell, who is white, acknowledged he routinely avoids marrying interracial couples because he believes children born to them end up suffering. In interviews, he said he refers the couples to other justices of the peace, who then perform the ceremony, which happened in this case.

I was actually surprised that I even thought this.
He hurt the interracial couple who went to him to get married. Imagine the indignant shock of the couple when the justice denied them this, and then when he told them his reasons for doing so.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Again I think it's wrong and agree that it's good that he retired.
But telling a couple, I think your potential children may be negatively impacted so would you please call this judge instead, while wrong, isn't as evil as most of the racist crap I read about.
I'm talking degree of evil, and for some strange reason, I think this is less evil, but I can't totally explain why I think so, and again that surprises me.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Actually, it's not just you - in general here on Apolyton, racism is somewhat of a taboo topic among conservative posters here.
Are you so insecure about your posting ability that you really had to jump straingt to personal attacks? Seriously?"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

Reading your back and forth with MrFun in this thread, it's clear you jumped to the personal attacks and not MrFun. For example, your quote:
More likely you are a complete waste of space who has to make absurd accusations like the above to cover for your inability to discuss anything intelligently
On other hand Patty, maybe it's just that you do not like to discuss racism at all. Sweep it under the rug, and ignore it would be your preference??"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

His message was right - This really should have gone in the other thread.
The delivery needs some work."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain

I think that no one here would disagree that what he did was wrong and his retiring was a long overdue good thing. (except for a few trolls) so there was nothing really to discuss so by making it a level of evil discussion I thought there might be something to actually discuss. If you're not interested in that, oh well.
Yes I agree that hes a racist son of a ***** and we can move on to discuss some other horror. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
