    • It's not about the fact that people rap about different things... it's about the fact that people rapping about different things are commercially popular that's new and unique. It was the same way back in the 80's as well but lost commercial significance for many years. True, the Roots and Common did fairly well but they were exceptions to what was generally popular.

And bland rubbish?! Rap is more creative now in terms of topics.

Only now do you see things like a rapper with a concept song set in the Vietnam War:

Or rapping about the obesity crisis:

      Or alien visitors:

      or the Media:

      • What about these guys? I don't listen that much to rap but I actually bought their first CD back when it came out in 2000.

Albert, look at it this way:

A conservative Christian from Texas and a Liberal Pagan from Canada are agreeing on some music.

What does that say about your bourgeois sensibilities?

Try and get out some more. It'll broaden your horizons.

Are you serious? I am positive Sloww's musical sensibilities are more in line with my own than yours. Sloww?

And Sloww is hardly conservative. Just because he's from Texas...
