Yeah, I've got plenty of worthless stuff that I cannot get out of core memory, like my childhood phone number, my high school locker combination, and my first-ever credit card number. Some, like my driver's license number, is marginally useful.

The number of things I cannot remember without assistance is now epic. And yes, it gets worse with age. But I rarely walk into a room and wonder what it is I wanted to do there anymore. Somehow, that got better. I think.

The minute-to-minute stuff Asher mentioned (forgetting lunch, power cords, etc.) is, it seems to me, more about a lack of focus (or focusing elsewhere) than true malfunction of the memory.

QFT. Worse than that is that I can't remember my girlfriend's number. So if my phone is stolen, I'm forked.

The interweb has many bizarre powers, but being able to receive naughty emails is just one of its many good things.

My new phone is a Nokia, and it's so bloody rubbish that if anyone held me up for it, I'd be delighted to give it to them, as long as they let me take the sim card out first.

Nokias are, indeed, awful. I should bump my thread.

I have always had even worse memory for old stuff than current stuff. Even 5 years ago seems like a lifetime ago, and I can hardly remember anything.

I often think that if I could purge all the 80's song lyrics from my memory I'd be much better at recalling mundane things.
