ACORN: Housing Assistance For Prostitutes

The versions I've seen were definitely edited. There are points in the clip where background noises seem to drop out. Since the two young people doing the filming can't be seen then it's possible that the dialog spoken by them on the tape may not be what was actually said in the office. Some responses by the ACORN emplyees may have been cut. For example, when the girl asks if prostitution is illegal there is a cut to where the ACORN employee rants about how if the government can't get a cut then its illegal. To me it looks like some intervening dialog was cut. Furthermore segements of the dialog could have been re-arranged.
I'd be interested to see the raw un-edited footage. Someone ought to fund the fired employees for the cost of a good legal team and have them file suit against Fox so the recording can be examined.
Oh, in the Washington video you can't even identify who is talking.

Sounds like a great place to work. I could have some fun with that job.

And now on to San Diego.
The National City video shows an ACORN worker telling O'Keefe how to smuggle young girls from Mexico. The employee is also heard trying to solicit Giles, by asking "How much do you charge?" . . . "He told us it would be best if they (girls) were shipped into Tijuana first because he had contacts there that could help us."

I'll bet as more dems distance themselves from it, they'll stop mentioning that.
Because eventually it's only going to make the repugs look better since they were right and knew all along and it was the demons that had their heads in the sand and were ignoring it.

It's a fact, and probably a very relevant one. Any publication that does not include it would be remiss.

But did they lead with repugs have been against them from the beginning?

Yesterday's articles from the mainstream press that I have read basically give up on defending Acorn about a quarter of the way through the article. Then they get to the meat of the issue and the facts are very damning as they are spelled out.

Whether it's a hatchet job or not, last night's newscasts have shown that it was effective as hell. Even the liberal press is covering the story now and everyone is scurrying to distance themselves from it, even the white house.
But they couldn't quite give up on it as the tradionally liberal stations had to include the (repugs have been trying to take acorn down) aspect of the story. It was pretty funny watching them try to defend it. This was greatly orchestrated and if it is only these two kids (which seems possible but not likely) they're going to have great careers since this story is going to set them up quite well.
This last fact is the only reason that I think it's possible that the two kids may have really been on their own. The reward is so big and lots of kids in college do things in an attempt to get the reward. (but I'm still suspect) But since this is now such high profile stuff, the dems will probably spend considerable effort trying to prove a connection hoping to use any connection to divert people from the actual story here. If last night was any indication, it's a lost cause. Especially if everyone bails and tosses them to the wolves, which is what I bet will happen.
