I disagree. She needs to be in an apron, like Japher posted in Post # 19. True, mom's beautiful in her formal, but the product is pies. She needs to be dressed to bake.

I like your idea about the picture but I also like Z's as well. He's right pie has to figure in the equation somewhere since that is what I'm selling. I found an old fashioned apron picture and dress that would fit perfect with that picture and if I could find a good picture of pie that would be the perfect look. Dressed to bake as he said but with her face since she is Betty Lou's.

It's either that or I have to send all these idea's to my sister in law who is an artist and get her to draw something up.

My mom was most at home entertaining. I used to joke that I had Donna Reed for a mother. For all you youngsters she was the mom on a old show called father knows best. But when I was growing up I had the mom that wore the pearls and wore the apron and was consistantly entertaing the higher up's and muckie mucks in the Air Force as my dad was a Lt. Col and my Uncle a 4 star general. She would have the ladies over for tea etc.. entertaining and cooking was her life. So a picture of her like that with an apron and with a pie would be perfect.

That stereotype was starting to fade when we were growing up, there were only a few others besides my mother in the neighborhood. The others were joining the work force and getting liberated. The joke was on them though, my mother could do anything she wanted to.

The idea of a woman starting a business is something that would not have been possible 25 years ago. Maybe you should just be content with that fact and stop trying to make an actual business?
