Ming, I totally forgot to say thanks for both the explanation and the release of my posting.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
Hi, I'm interested in hosting an Ask Me Anything thread here -- on Apolyton -- perhaps in Off-Topic. I've interviewed 70+ people involved with GamerGate on both sides for a multi-volume series of books. I'm currently running a Kickstarter campaign to promote these books and have included both Reddit and forum AMAs in the promotion of the Kickstarter and discussion about the topic. I just did an AMA on KotakuInAction on Reddit today and I'll be doing one on Total War Center on Tuesday. I'd be happy to host one here as well, with the permission of the staff. Please let me know, thanks.
While you are welcome to do whatever you want as long as you follow the site rules and don't spam or provide links to sites selling crap or services...
This an old and dying gaming site with very little traffic. It has been kept alive as a place for a bunch of old friends and enemies to hang out and stay in touch. And frankly, knowing most of the members who are still here, I don't think it would turn out as you might expect. Most if not all/any questions asked would not be very serious and would probably be jokes.
Frankly, I'm sure there are better places for you to spend your efforts and get the results you desire.

Hi Ming, thank you for your response. I half-expected it to be a fair number of jokes, but am still open to giving it the go ahead. The AMA thread would look something like this, if that would be okay?
Expect it to be pretty much ALL jokes... I see very little potential interest in what you suggest. In reality, I expect no interest except to use you as a joke fest. You are NOT a member of this community. Enough Said.
Ming is a very cynical fellow, tacyonblue, I think most of us would be very interested. In fact, some of us have very strong opinions on the role of women in the workplace. I recommend PMing a poster named Ben Kenobi and inviting him to participate

So I don't know much about GG, I tend to avoid the 'internet culture' in general since it's pretty useless, but wouldn't someone investigating about the civil war also say, after 70+ interviews (depending on where he made the interviews) that nearly everyone involved who supported it is in agreement that it was about state rights?
