    • TBH, heavy drinking has fallen seriously in the last 30 years - it's not accepted as normal today.

Heck, I had some student jobs on factories back in early 80'es and some of the people couldn't do their jobs unless they got a beer or two. That is no longer the case.

Well, as I have understood it, it's a habit for both canuck and danish navy to leave a bottle on the island when they plant flags - why not meet there and empty those

If not, I can bring some bottles of wine and whisky - just bring what you need yourself.

                • Getting back to the opening post. Did you know that Stephen Hawking is 68 years old? He's been symptomatic now for about 47 years. People with ALS rarely live longer than 10 years, and Dr. Hawkings has out-lived the longest know autopsy proven case. So you know what? He doesn't have ALS, he probably has Type IV Spinal Motor Neuron Disease.

What the healthcare bill actually stipulates is that guys like me could get paid for advising patients on issues such as advance medical directives, living wills and DNR orders. Currently if a patient walks into my office and wants to talk to me soleley for that purpose I'm screwed. I can't bill for such a service, I'd have to do it completely gratis. The bill doesn't say that such consultations are mandatory, instead it allows me to bill for that sort of service once every 5 years, or more often if the patient's condition deteriorates.
