I had General Relativity explained to me in layman's terms in my undergraduate astrophysics degree. Took a 12 week lecture course, and they had to leave it until the third year.

There are some people (like me) with some physics background that understand just how little we know about cosmology, but know enough to know that KH knows his ****, even if we don't know enough to call him on anything.

And there are some people who don't know enough physics to even begin to understand what he's saying and therefore think he's talking complete balls.

Those people are all wrong, but are too ignorant to be able to realise how little they actually understand about this ****.

a) It's not just knowledge
b) Given a couple of hours and sufficient motivation (on both our parts) I could explain most of this in reasonable detail to you (to the point where you would be able to draw reasonable inferences and perform the basic calculations). For the post-inflationary era GR is 70% of what you need to know, and statistical mechanics is 90% of the rest
