Getting involved in somebodies personal life without being asked... and NOT KNOWING the facts except for what somebody has posted on the internet (like it must be true, it's on the internet) is not decent human behaviour, it's just stupid, moronic, and an invasion of their privacy

a) The facts are self-evident. What is at question is sn00py's feelings toward his (possible) future wife. His words are direct evidence of those feelings. The only plausible external facts are the existence of this woman and her status as a cash cow. If she doesn't exist, then there is no harm, no foul. If her family isn't loaded then any reasonable person would laugh off frosty's thread as a joke

b) Privacy? WTF? You post something on a message board on the Internet and expect it will remain private? Do you have a different definition of that word than the usual one?

c) From what I can see NOT informing her is either laziness (me) or cowardice (you and MikeH). If she exists then she's a real human being who deserves to know exactly what her boyfriend thinks of their relationship before she enters into a life-altering partnership with him.

When I was active at ForumWarz I had people do everything from digging up every public record about me, my picture posted and shooped on silly things, phone calls, weeks at a time of the entire board being about me IRL, youtube videos slandering me, and anything else you can imagine a hormonal 4channer can do.

When you play the internet you don't get a free ride. If you cant laugh at yourself then you will fail in life anyway, somehow.
