The continued existence of Nokia is one of the life's greatest mysteries.
    wtf

three out of four of your main arguments revolve around the claim that their phones don't "look cool". under that reasoning, you should be wondering why EVERYBODY doesn't buy & use apple computers.

Oh look, a Finn jerking off about Nokia in my thread.

Nokia phones are ugly, they are "easy to use" in that they lack real functionality, they are THE WORST PLATFORM I HAVE EVER DEVELOPED ON IN MY LIFE BY FAR which explains why there's **** software selection, they are slow, and they are overpriced.

The fact that they are hideously fugly with continually bizarrely unusable keyboard layouts is just icing.

For the money the Koreans seem to make some damn good phones while for the high end American companies seem to do the best (Apple, Blackberry). Nokia seems to be going after mainly the low end market like the third world as they make super simple, cheap, but durable phones. Nokia's attempts to get into the high end so far have been underwhelming.

Blackberry isn't a company, nor is it American...

It's Oerdin. Do you really expect 100% fact checking?

True that. My cheap Nokia is durable alright, which to me is the only important feature, besides being able to make calls and send text messages of course.

I can literally play catch with my phone and it still won't break down. I'm staying with Nokia.
Of course, they won't be making a big profit out of me because I never buy one anyway. My previous cellphone was the Nokia Matrix one (circa 2000?). I plan to buy my next one in a few years

yeah i drop my phone several times a week on average and there's not a scratch on it.

last time i bought a phone was probably about 2002, i've got a 6300 at the moment (got it off a friend). the next phone i buy will have snake on it.

So, Nokias are for people who have issues holding onto their phones?

its not that hard to imagine that for construction and similar jobs, cheap and durable phones are prefered. most long living phones i have seen are nokias aswell.
i dont have any statistics or anything so its not worht much.
