Fortunately I don't write profesionally so I will never have to make that change.
What the hell is your problem? I just said that it wasn't 100% yet and while you keep agreeing with me, you keep telling me i'm wrong. What point are you trying to make?

I never told you to change your email style. I never said it was a global rule. I was very specific about the media spaces in which the one-space rule applies. Hell, I didn't even address HTML standards.

All I did was address the OP from the perspective of my personal and ongoing experience. Why you decided to take it as personal criticism, I don't have a clue.

Just to refresh your memory, rah, here is my first post in this thread:

Then JR I guess you shouldn't have posted
One space is correct, you idiots. Now go take your extra spaces and use them to buy a clue.

BTW: lame excuse, Rah -- I'm older than you and had no trouble adjusting to reality.

If my clients can't afford to pay for the requisite number of spaces in documents then they can't afford me anyway.

What, I can't have a little fun after I've made my (very specific) actual point?
Jeez, I thought this was an internet forum.
And I thought you were the reasonable one.

Regardless, it doesn't make your "I'm old" excuse any less lame.

Age is a good excuse. Just b/c you have managed to change your typing style that doesn't mean all old people can/will. I have no desire or need to make the change down to one space from two, but I do have difficulty with some changes that do come along occasionally.

If calling me an idiot with no grasp of reality using lame excuses is your idea of a little fun, I am thoroughly dissapointed and don't regret any names I called you. Sounds reasonable to me.

                      tomayto, tomahto.

You say it's a good excuse; fine. Having proven otherwise to myself, I deem it lame. It's just an opinion -- and a pretty light-hearted jab to attract such a strong reaction. IMHO.

My but we're touchy. Here's the actual quote:

As can be readily seen, I addressed the forum at large (actually, the 2-spacers but certainly not you personally) as idiots.

Then I said I had no trouble no trouble adjusting to (not grasping) reality.

Obviously, you've never been confronted with today's publishing world. Fair enough. The idea that you have no grasp on reality is NOT what I actually said. But I must say, you're doing a fine job of convincing me.

See, it's hard to tell if someone is joking or serious without a in the post.

Most people use black text on light background. Spaces are brighter than letters. Therefore, this use of two spaces between sentences is a massive waste of electrons. And, once you've used them you never get them back. FACT!
