  • Lost Season Finale

Couldn't find the old thread, since the server is up to its tricks again.

Holy ****ing Ass Crackers, to quote Robot Chicken.

I had a sneaking suspicion about Locke way back when we first saw him alive again... turns out I was right. For, like, the first time ever. Smokey is a sneaky ****er.

Man, I really don't know where to begin.

How do you know it is smokey? It has to be the guy wearing black from the first scene, on the beach with Jacob. I guess those two could be the same person/thing. But all the other people smokey "tookover" had visual ticks.

Visual ticks? What do you mean?

That dude HAD to be Smokey. Do I know that? No, but who else could it be?

What interests me is what this means for the Locke character for the next season. Will he truly be resurrected, or will Smokey continue to be a fake Locke? Or is his sad, sad story finally over?

When Smokey took over people they never acted "normal" they had ticks and kind of like skipping, I can't go look up the info right know, got to go to sleep.

ZombieLocke has the be the black shirt guy, because he said to Jacob that he had found his loophole. I guess black shirt guy and smokemonster could be the same thing/person.

Another question who lived in the cabin with the ash surrounding it?

I think it was the blackshirt man, though that would poke a hole in the blackshirt=smokey theory. Although smokey could be blackshirt's attack dog... Cerberus, if you will.

I don't remember seeing any ticks or skips with Christian, Yemi, Charlie, Libby, Ana-Lucia, etc....

Yes, an enjoyable finish. Has to be the blackshirt guy.

My wife (as we all know who never has any idea what is going on) looked up and said "is jacob jesus".

                  I'm with you Arrian.

I've watched all seasons/all episodes and will watch the last season and enjoy it, but it is no work of art in the field of story telling. IMO, it was a 2 season show that got drawn out to bring in cash. I would have liked to see the face on the writers faces when they were told to get 3 more seasons out of the story. It was probably something like WTF!

It seems to be a contrived mess, just like Wheel of Time. At least I was able to pull myself away after 2.5 books. I have better things to waste my time with.

Cuse and Lindelof wanted two more seasons of Lost when they were negotiating an end date with ABC. ABC gave them 3 seasons, but they essentially got the same number of episodes they wanted since the 3 last seasons are shortened.

That was a cruel, cruel cliffhanger to end the season on...

                          Found this about the statue.

Sobek's ambiguous nature led some Egyptians to believe that he was a repairer of evil that had been done, rather than a force for good in itself, for example, going to Duat to restore damage done to the dead as a result of their form of death.

Kind of ties in with the Jacob flashbacks.
                          John Brown did nothing wrong.

Or that J.J. Abrams is a royal douche who bums pandas for a living? The new ST movie should be the final proof of his douchery...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?
