Hey don't get your titties in a twist just cos you like crap TV that's been spun out about three times longer than its sell-by date because of blatant priorities of making money over actually providing quality entertainment...

I've left plenty of constructive criticism for Lost and ST in the relevant threads, however people like you have ignored it - as proved by your lame reply. I'm not going to rehash all my criticisms here, if you're interested (which I know you're not, from your blinkered devotion to said crap series) search for them. ST is still current, after all - it shouldn't be a stretch even for you...

Did you even watch the season finale? If not, I find it hard to see how you can make fun of it.

What? You mean it has miraculously changed itself into something entertaining at the last episode?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed season one right from the first two episodes we saw by accident in Iceland and had to wait ages before it started getting shown in the UK. However season two descended into the same old repetitive mumbo jumbo bull**** that Lost has made itself famous for. I didn't bother with seasons 3&4 because I knew they were going to be more of the same ****.

In fact, entertainingly, before supposedly 'the last series ever' (yeah right ) they showed a one hour show which was a condensed catch up of all the four seasons up till that point - and guess what - that's all they needed to make sense of things!!!

So, cool I thought, let's watch this last series...

I think I only managed about four episodes before I got totally bored of all the same **** AGAIN! Please, is this really the last season of Lost? If so, good ****ing riddance I say!

It was a good idea for a series, but they ****ed it when they realised how popular it was by bloating the **** out of it and basically milking it for every dollar they can get. I reckon they could have come up with a really tight and excellent show with two or maybe three seasons tops!

But, as usual, US TV ****s a perfectly good idea by trying to maximise profits past the point it was ever a good idea in the first place!

Abrams hasn't been directly involved with Lost in a long time. It's mostly Cuse and Lindelof's show.

Also, Guyneymer I think you are probably right that black shirt guy=fake locke=smoke monster. Makes more sense than the alternative.

So I guess the answer to my question was no then?

I watched the episode, so I figure my opinion about it probably carries a touch more weight than someone that didn't. I did find it entertaining. Some episodes are and some aren't. I'll be the first to admit that the writing is inconsistent. But the good episodes make up for the bad ones in my opinion. After you've watched the last episode this season, I'll take any of your comments about it seriously. But until then, just more hot air.

I don't think that's possible. Alterna-Locke is whatever was trapped in what we thought was Jacob's cabin; note the gap in the ash ring surrounding the cabin that allowed whatever was inside to escape. The smoke monster appeared all over the island during the period when the ash ring was still intact and whatever was inside the cabin was still trapped there, so the smoke monster isn't Alterna-Locke. It does seem to be interested in helping Alterna-Locke though, per its instructions to Ben.

No, I think you're right, Drake. It can't be as simple as smoke = fake Locke = Adams From Deadwood (blackshirt), since I also think that the entity in the cabin was probably blackshirt.

But at the very least, blackshirt is controlling the smoke to some extent. Maybe both the smoke and blackshirt (and maybe even Jacob) can take different forms. Maybe sometimes Christian is the smoke, sometimes he's Jacob... it would explain why it appears that, at different times, Christian is working for both sides. Maybe the smoke is a tool used both sides.


That Locke really is dead reveal was cool as ****.

Why would you root for Locke? He's dead, unless the nuke blast at the Swan brings the real Locke back to life...

edit: My prediction? Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Jin and Locke are all saved by the nuke blast. Juliet, Sayid and Miles are dead.

They can't kill miles. His conversations with hurley are too precious.
And since I now much prefer juliet over kate, they can't kill her.
If locke is really dead, Sayid is the best character left from a hero standpoint. Sawyer has given him a good run for the money on that side, while jack continues to wallow in his own self pity.

For now anyway. In another time he's probably still alive.
