Yes general dislike of the French is typical in the Anglosphere because of historical reasons and rivalry. But people don't see it as such. A similar phenomena is Eastern European nationalism (you know the type of Polish/Moldavian/Russian poster I'm talking about), with the difference that the nations in question have fever trolls on their side and get mocked as much as they should. Americans don't.

BTW What is this bull about French military ineptitude. Yes they sucked when the Germans invaded in WW2. Napoleon kicked ass, yes he lost eventually but only because he mistook the war for a game of risk and wanted to conquer the whole map, and speaking of that Hitler lost and we don't mock the Germans for being bad soldiers. Also the French won the hundred year war, John'd arc kicked English ass.

The French are not wusses, they weren't defeated more than the average major European power and overall their military tradition is impressive. They prefer not to engage in wars in recent years but this is true of all Europeans (who have after centuries of unprecedented bloodsheed finally figured out that war mostly dosen't pay if you don't bother to ethnically cleanse the lands you conquer)




If you really want to see military ineptitude you should check your facts and make fun of Italians.

I remember Markos throwng a fit over the Macedonia question. I've always thought only the Greek government was so passionate about that question. However, Moldavia is not in the Balkans.

Power failure yesterday. Stupid construction company cut our power off. So I spent the day at Barnes & Noble.

Today I went out with a friend to enjoy some free KFC grilled chicken, only to discover they aren't honoring the coupons anymore, and are handing out raincheck forms to send us a coupon later. Came home and have been watching tv all day.

Why do so many French kill themselves? Because they aren't fighting a war to someone else and losing and they need to keep up the losses.
