If nothing shows up that is identifiable as a Higgs, my prior is that there is simply a Higgs decaying to slightly non-standard (and difficult to see) particles.
Because there aren't really very many alternatives to SOMETHNG that looks like the Higgs. And least, none that we've come up with.
